a campaign for the Movies that Matter Festival 2022 showing that and how changing matters
Movies that Matter festival 2022
communication design, animation
as part of De Designpolitie
client: Movies That Matter
year: 2022
Â
Movies that Matter wants to open eyes for human rights. Their core tasks are the screening of human rights related films and to raise awareness of human-rights films. They undertake these tasks with our annual Movies that Matter festival, educational work, the organisation of events, with advice inland and abroad and the support of festivals worldwide.
The identity is built up by several ‘displays’ or ‘screens’, representing the diversity of the films (and filmmakers) that Movies that Matter stands for, and the different platforms and sizes on which these films can be seen.
For this particular campaign in '22 and the theme of "changing matters", the well-known image of a virtual glitch was used to visualise this change. With the help of the festival's films, eyes are opened, opinions are changed, discussions are stimulated – and change follows.
